Technical Studies

Condor provides a full range of inventory and assessment tools for establishing pertinent baseline information. We utilize Global Positioning Systems (GPS) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) throughout all stages of inventory and assessment. Using established regulatory protocols, we develop study methodologies that are project-specific and location-specific.
Our technical services include:
  • Rare plant surveys
  • Sensitive habitat assessments
  • Vegetation sampling and vegetation association classification
  • Vegetation mapping
  • Botanical and wildlife surveys
  • Archaeological surveys
  • Wetland surveys
  • Mitigation plan

Condor assists the client in directing development away from sensitive areas, thus avoiding impacts and minimizing costs. When impacts cannot be avoided, we develop feasible mitigation measures, working closely with our clients and regulatory agencies.

Habitat Restoration

Condor develops habitat restoration plans and manages their implementation. Our work is based on more than 20 years of experience with large scale revegetation efforts. We are highly experienced in the planning and implementation of restoration of oak woodlands, native grasslands, wetlands, and riparian corridors, and other habitats.

Our methods include: careful examination of similar sites, historical research, study of soils, hydrology, geologic formations, and botanical and wildlife surveys. We use these elements to plan for the restoration of hydrologic conditions, removal of weeds, and revegetation with natives. (top)
